Jim Hernandez - CFO, Managing Director
“Impossible is just little harder” – Pat Hyndman
Jim’s service to his community started in High School when he joined the Kiwanis sponsored youth. He has continued that service a member of Kiwanis in every community he has lived in since 1985, along with being a volunteer and leader in his church, and has served on community boards.. Jim discovered the Home Instead opportunity while speaking about strategy to group of CEO’s in 2019. A fellow franchise owner Jason shared his approach and told him how he and Cheryl (his wife) would be perfect for Home Instead. It turns out that Home Instead is perfect for them. Jim met Cheryl in a college service organization, so together having a business that served the senior community to help them age in grace, is something very close to Jim’s heart, as he currently supports his mom and dad in Canada.
In his career Jim (aka Jaime) has been working with business owners, managers and of salespeople, in 30+ countries, as a motivational speaker, consultant, and trainer. Jim has worked with everything from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, on sales and marketing strategy. His success has placed him working with the board of directors of international companies, his church, and the Altus Institute, and appearing as a guest lecturer on Sales and Marketing at the University of San Diego. Jim is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese).
A graduate of the University of Victoria, Jim completed his degree in Sociology, with the dream of working with people, and Home Instead certain provides with a rewarding experience to help seniors age in place, and help their families best support them. Jim is a member of the South Lake Kiwanis Club, and loves to hang out with his kids and enjoy family time.
