Gadsden December 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - Mrs. Martin & Natalie
Our December 2021 Professional Caregiver and Client Spotlight of the Month is Mrs. Martin (client) and Natalie (caregiver). Mrs. Martin was married to Mr. Martin who was a former U.S Congressman and Commissioner of Conservation. They were married for 60+ years when he passed away in 2017. She loves to sing and that is how her and her husband met she was singing at an event he was attending, and it was love at first site. They had three kids Richard, Jr and Anna. Mrs. Martin was a stay-at-home mom with the kids but was very involved in her husband’s campaign career and always supported him with any and everything. Mrs. Martin and Natalie have grown very close while Natalie has been with her, they love to go outside and be as active as possible. They try to make walks a part of the everyday routine (they hardly ever skip) they also enjoying cooking and baking together as it makes them both happy. Mrs. Martin is currently teaching Natalie how to knit. They get along great because they are both kindhearted and just very soft natured and they just make the perfect fit for each other. They truly care about one another as well. Mrs. Martin and Natalie love to get out and walk the property and watch the leaves fall. They take the dogs with them and sometimes the cat follows in too. They walk every afternoon and go down to the pond and take a short break and sit and watch the dogs play and just enjoy the change of scenery and each other’s company. On days it is too windy to walk or Mrs. Martin feels she can’t make the walk they take the golf cart and “patrol the property” as they like to call it. Mrs. Martin always says “thank you that was very good I’m a clean plater.” She loves Natalie’s cooking so much! She says thank you all the time and is just very appreciative of everything Natalie does for her.
