Home Instead History & Mission
For nearly three decades, Home Instead has delivered compassionate, high-quality care to seniors around the globe.Dave and Jennifer Parke, Home Instead Franchise Owners
In 2008 Dave and Jennifer Parke found themselves in the same place as millions of Americans, adult children concerned for aging parents. Jennifer’s father had been struggling with the effects of Parkinson’s Dementia for over 10 years and he needed more and more care. Siblings pulled together to help their father, and to provide support and respite for their mother.
In 2010, Dave and Jennifer made a bold decision. Dave decided to leave his career as a corporate executive and get into the senior care industry. After a very exhaustive search and in-depth analysis, Dave decided Home Instead was the only organization that, at its core, shared their passion and concern for seniors. They partnered with the already established SLC Home Instead office and opened an office in West Jordan to support the West side of the Valley and expand service to Tooele and Utah Counties.
Dave’s experience in setting up and running business operations, and his love for seniors along with Jennifer’s compassion and personal quest to help seniors age safely, and happily, have proven to be a perfect combination. Entering the world of senior care seemed to be an opportunity that was tailor made for the Parkes.
That’s why, to us, senior care is personal. We’re passionate about Enhancing the lives of Aging Adults and their Families®.
More than a Business: A Mission in Life
In the decades since Paul and Lori founded Home Instead, the company has expanded far beyond the city limits of Omaha, Nebraska. We now count more than 1,200 franchise locations globally – but we all share the same mission.
We live the mission with our CAREGivers, our staff and our community by:
- Treating each other with dignity and respect
- Encouraging and supporting each others’ growth
- Building value in our service to others
- Honoring God in all we do
When you choose Home Instead to help your family, you’re partnering with us on our mission to improve the lives of seniors (and their families) everywhere.
