Daisy Loves Connecting With Clients, Their Families
For Daisy Saucedo, there’s no job like working as a Home Instead® Care Professional. She feels good about her job because she’s making a difference in someone’s life.
“Before I joined Home Instead, I was looking for something different to do. As a Care Pro, I love what I do. With Home Instead, I can connect with my clients and their families,” said Daisy, who joined Home Instead of Midland-Odessa on Feb. 19, 2024, lives and works in Home Instead’s territory in the San Angelo area.
Going into further detail, Daisy pointed out: “With all three of my clients – a married couple and a gentleman – they love me and consider me to be like a family member. In essence, I am like a caring ‘care partner’ with them. We share laughter. They know they can always count on me when they need a shoulder to lean on. They love the fact that I cook for them and always bring smiles to their faces.”
Daisy added: “Working for the right company also makes a big difference. Home Instead’s culture is a warm, friendly family-oriented one. For instance, I like Home Instead because I can bond with my clients. Other in-home care companies don’t allow that. Other companies want you to keep your clients at arms’ length.”
Daisy, who found Home Instead on Indeed.com, noted that she has many years of professional caregiving experience. “Patience is the key to this line of work,” Daisy said. “I also have served as a family caregiver. I began taking care of my grandfather when I was 18.”
Home Instead has benefited from Daisy’s successful senior-care experience in many ways, even more than her work as a Care Pro and her interaction with clients and their family members.
Imelda Hawkins, the Home Instead franchise’s human resources director, assistant administrator, and recruitment and engagement coordinator, said: “We have our other Care Pros shadow Daisy during her shifts to enhance their training. Daisy has played a vital role in establishing our San Angelo caregiving team. Ever since we hired Daisy last February, she has made key Care Pro referrals for our San Angelo team.”
While announcing Daisy’s honor as the franchise’s Care Pro of the Month, Imelda said: “She has proved herself through her reliability. Daisy has received great client reviews. Daisy has become a favorite both with the Midland and San Angelo offices! We love Daisy!”
And Daisy loves being a part of the Care Pro team for the award-winning franchise owned by Lorena and William Shensky. Their franchise is a member of a network comprised of Home Instead, Inc. and its parent company, Honor.
With the world’s largest home-care network and the most advanced care platform, Honor and Home Instead are revolutionizing care for older adults, their families and Care Pros. Combined, the network has more than 100,000 Care Pros across 13 countries, meeting the growing needs of millions of older adults and their families worldwide.
