It's that time of year again here at Home Instead Lakeland, FL! We are putting up our trees around the community for Be a Santa to a Senior! Wish lists went out back in September, and we have already received wishes from over 200 seniors. It is humbling to see the sorts of things some people ask for and remember what a huge difference our efforts truly make.
Along with our trees, back by popular demand is our Blanket and Sock drive! You can help by bringing new blankets and socks to the box at our office at 810 E Main St, Lakeland. The items that are donated will be delivered to seniors in need.
Our top requested items for Be a Santa to a Senior are as follows:
1 - Personal Care Items (Lotion, shampoo, body wash, deodorant)
2 - Blankets
3 - Perfume
4 - Stamps/Stationery
5 - Slippers (med and large non-skid) Men's and Women's
6 - Gift Cards (at least $25 to Wal-Mart and Publix)
7 - Crossword Puzzles
8 - Socks (white cotton) Men's and Women's
9 - Housedresses (all sizes up to 4x)
10 - Bath towel sets (bath, hand, and washcloth)
