Vanessa, my caregiver is always willing to do what I need. She is neat, quick, and also a good shopper. She is always happy and eager to please. I would not know what to do without her.
My mom loves each and every care pro that has been in our house. I especially want to thank Dawn And Susan. Dawn was in our house for the first time during hurricane Milton. She made sure we were prepared. She made sure that my Mom and the birds were ok. Susan our regular CarePro likes to stay busy. She makes sure Mom is good. Then, she will see what else needs to be done like dishes, laundry, and any house cleaning.
My Wife’s parents are in there mid 80’s and live in Lakeland Florida and were in need of assistance. I am a practicing Estate Planning Attorney and we live about an hour away. After researching reputable Home Health Agencies in Lakeland I found Home Instead in Lakeland. I called them around 7 pm and was surprised someone actually answered the phone.
After 15 minutes of dealing with a polite and caring professional we exchanged information. To my surprise, I was informed the Owner would visit my in-laws on the very next day!! My wife attended the evaluation and was thoroughly impressed with the compassion and caring the owner provided.
After resisting care for months they agreed to one day each week. So it was a start. Pam the caretaker has been magnificent. It is their best day each week. We are trying to encourage them to accept more care.
I have been dealing with similar agencies for years and Home Instead in Lakeland is by far the most professional and caring Agency I have dealt with. Thank you to Pam and everyone that has helped us get started in ensuring my wife’s parents can maintain their independence remaining home and providing peace of mind. Our goal now is to utilize more care.
Pauline patiently and cheerfully cares for my 96-year-old mother. She goes way beyond any tasks that would typically be expected of a caregiver, and instead does anything and everything to help my mother. She has become so much more than a caregiver and has become a wonderful friend. Home Instead has provided care for my mother for almost 6 years and has been outstanding, but Pauline is simply an angel that we can never adequately thank for her selfless service. She is truly a "Gift from God."
I have two Caregivers for my husband, Maxine and Christina. Christina makes him the best scrambled eggs and cheese he's ever had and helps him with his jig-saw puzzles. She also keeps the kitchen and bathroom clean and does other things without asking. Maxine keeps the floors and rugs cleaner than they have ever been!! I can have guests over at a moment without worrying about my house. that is a great blessing.
Help around the house and gets my dad out of the apartment and into the sun and fresh air after he broke his femur. When Deshayla shows up at the door, dad’s face lights up with joy.
I had Home Instead come and do some home health care in my house. They did everything. They did light housekeeping, they did my laundry, they took care of my husband's meals and his medicine and all that kind of stuff. My caregiver was very good. They scheduled everything good. They kept me informed of any changes that had to be made and they billed me twice a month. Sarah was the name of the caregiver.
My husband's caregiver, Deedee, is wonderful. I'm very pleased with Home Instead. I've had them since September when I came home from being very sick and I needed help with my husband and also for myself, but mainly care for him. They've been very helpful and very kind. No matter what I asked them to do, they're very happy to do it and I feel very secure. They're honest, polite, and very giving. I consider her a friend, which I don't say easily because it's not easy to make friends. She is such a lovely lady. She knows exactly that she'll make my husband's lunch for him. She'll clean the table and the counters for me so I don't have to get up and do it. She'll even help me prepare dinner because she leaves at 5:00, but she'll help me get that started. I go out and get the groceries. She brings the groceries in for me. There isn't a thing bad. Everything is wonderful. Home instead is excellent. They always answer my phone calls, and they're always very helpful. One time I was having a little get-together and I didn't want Deedee to come in immediately, so they called her, and it was all settled very easily. I can't say enough about Home Instead. They're always very, very willing, just like the caregiver. She's a very good worker. It's not just that she works well, she's very kind and very loving and that you don't find everywhere.
My aunt is using Home Instead. Anytime I asked for any changes or whatever, they were very willing to accommodate my needs and the needs of my aunt. They take care of her so I can have a break, but they also keep the house and make her meals and stuff like that, so that's also helpful to me. The caregiver, Jane, is very caring and a lovely person. Communication with the agency is absolutely excellent. They bill automatically out of my checking account and everything's automatic. They always have someone available if I have a special need. It used to be Dolores, but she retired. I loved her dearly. Jane is fairly new, but she seems to be fitting in pretty well.
The caregiver from Home Instead is very good. They do good cleaning up the house and taking care of my wife. Mainly, they fix her meals and serve it to her. She doesn't need much other assistance. Billing and scheduling are good. I would recommend them. They're a good company with good people.
My sister is using Home Instead. I feel they do an outstanding job. You can communicate with them at any time. They are very open. Right now, I am using them two days a week for my sister who has memory loss and they take her shopping. They can take her to her doctor's appointments. They are helping her organize, just making sure that she puts her pills in her pill containers, helping her order if she needs more medicine. When it comes to billing, we have automatic withdrawal and it's not a problem. I can call them and they're always willing to help me out if I need extra scheduling. The caregiver, Judy, is outgoing. She is willing to do whatever is needed that's in the scope of what she's supposed to do. She is able to encourage my sister to do some of the things that need to be done that maybe she really doesn't want to do, but she does it in such a nice way that it's working perfectly.
I'm using Home Instead. Dawn does a very good job for my wife, both physically and also mentally. She stimulates her and tries very hard to take care of her. Also, Dawn is very good at doing things here for us, to help us keep a good house and to keep it in good order. She's definitely not lazy. She looks for things to do. We appreciate her. My wife has dementia. She plays games with her. She basically helps her physically as she needs help. She still is able to walk and get around on her own. Anything we need around the house here, Dawn is more than happy to help. I have been with Home Instead for probably four or five years and I've been very happy. They treat me very well, but then I think I try hard to basically work with Home Instead too. I'm very happy with Home Instead and the people. I've learned to know them.
Our caregiver is from Home Instead. She cooks for my father, she helps him, she cleans, and she takes him grocery shopping. She sits and she talks with him. He enjoys her company. He loves her and so do I because I FaceTime them when she's there on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and she's the best. I couldn't ask for a better person. Scheduling is good because if they have scheduling problems, they will contact me via either email or someone will call me. They're very courteous, very understanding, and very professional, so I don't have problems with that. Her name is Betty.
I'm using Home Instead. They are taking care of my mother. One of the ladies has been with my mom for a very long time, and she's done a good job with my mom. It's a good kind of companion, and she keeps her kind of happy in a world where it's hard to be happy. She helps take my mother to doctor and dentist appointments. She's with her when they go. She takes her outside. Their billing is very punctual. I can pay online for my mom. If there are any issues with scheduling other than her normal times, they call me and figure that out. She loves my mom dearly. They get along really, really well and she just makes her smile. Her name is Lynda.
Home Instead has been very positive and responsive to any requests and calls I have regarding my mother’s home care. All of her caregivers, Edith, Christina C., Maria R., Mariellla, and Maria M., have been fantastic, thoughtful, caring and an overall blessing to us and to my Mom. Thank you!
I like Aida very much. She is sweet, friendly, very good, goes above and beyond and will do anything that is asked of them, including Dede. I would recommend DeDe and Aida to everyone. Clients would be safe, secure, happy, and helpful to whomever they are caring for. They are really special and the best part is they always arrive so happy to be here. We were referred to Home Instead of Lakeland by a family friend and a neighbor. My mother and I reached out to Home Instead of Lakeland back in September 2023. Overall, we have been extremely impressed with Home Instead of Lakeland.
A big shout out to the owner Kari for hiring qualified and friendly Care Pro Professionals and the talented team that works hard running the day-to-day operations. The office support team is very professional, friendly, good listeners and genuinely cares about my mother’s well-being/care.
From time to time, we have had to make some changes to our schedule and every time Meridith does it with such grace.
I have a huge appreciation for Teresa, her expertise and all her efforts overseeing my mother’s care. Initially, when we first signed up with Home Instead of Lakeland, Teresa customized a care plan for my mother. Teresa continues to tweak my mother’s care plan as her needs change and stays in constant communication with the care team which shows me my mother’s care is continually being monitored.
Knowing a Care Pro professional is tending to my mother on the schedule day(s) and time provide me peace of mind. I am grateful to Care Pro Professional Edith for being so kind and respectful to my mother. She treats her as if she was caring for her own family member. Home Instead in Lakeland is a top notch home care provider. My mother has been a client for several years. Her CarePros help with the housekeeping and errands and take her to medical appointments. My mom has been using caregivers from Home Instead for several years. Her caregiver Nazarine has been so tolerate of moms moods. Nazarine also has been is moms driver to go to salon, grocery shopping and retrieving mail. Mom says they are close and that they share personal secrets and support each other. My brother and I are very pleased with Nazarine. Home Instead is a good company. They check with me on a regular basis to make sure that there are no complaints or issues. We are blessed to have Home Instead as a company to care for our mother.
We have been so please with the services provided by Home Instead. Mother was hesitant at first but now appreciates all her Home Instead aides, particularly Sandra who has been with her since the start two years ago. She loves Sandra and so do we!
Home Instead in Lakeland has provided invaluable services for my mother, who just turned 100 years young. All of their aides are caring and wonderful people who provide assistance with daily tasks as well as companionship. They have gone to medical appointments and even sat with her daily during a recent hospital stay. While all have been great, I particularly want to give a shout out to Sandra, who has been a friend and companion as well as a helper for my mother from the first day she came in early 2023. We've had the pleasure of working with Home Instead Lakeland for many years through our Sage Aging ElderCare Guide. My husband has been using Home Instead for almost a year and a half now. So far, it's good. It's twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays, from 1:00 to 5:00. Their job is just to sit there and watch him when he goes to the bathroom because he has a walker and I don't want him falling. His leg sometimes shakes. The rest, my husband just sits there in his lazy chair watching TV. Scheduling is good. They've been good to us. When they come check on us, all the ladies from the office are real friendly. Brad is the name of the caregiver.
My wife is using Home Instead. Kayla comes here to take care of her personal needs three days a week. The service is excellent. I cannot say enough for the young woman that comes to the house and takes care of my wife's personal things like that. When she's not taking care of my wife, she's doing things around the house and fixes us lunch every day. Scheduling is fine. They met the timeframe that we needed. The caregiver is a very, very nice person.
Home Instead has been wonderful to work with. At a time when I didn't know what to do or where to turn they were there for me and my sister and have just been a God send. In particular our caregivers are so helpful. We don't usually need to tell any of them what to do because it's almost second nature to them. Brenda Z has been my caregiver for almost 2 years. I have mobility issues and needed help with shopping, housekeeping and transportation. She has been a godsend for me and helped me get thru the pandemic. She is a very dedicated and caring person, and always puts the client's needs first. I really don't know how I'd survive without her compassionate care. She is an exceptional example of the Home Instead service.
Brad come every Monday and Wednesday. My husband is so glad to see Brad on those days. They have become such buddies. They are like two peas in a pod. Brad is such a caring and patient caregiver. We really appreciate this caring and giving man. Thank you for picking Brad for Mike it makes a world of difference to both of us.
Home Instead provides excellent services for me at home. I'd like to specifically recognize Rosa for all she has done for me and my family. She takes care of me and interacts with me personally. She makes me feel special in everything she does. She works so hard every day and always stays busy. I appreciate all she does.
My mom had a virtual meeting schedule. She has dementia. I was unable to be at her home to get her logged on. Her caregiver, Nazarine was on duty until 5:30. Moms appointment was at 6pm. Nazarine and I worked to get everything installed. This caused Nazarine to stay late. I asked her to stay and help mom. I asked her to stay until 5:55pm to get mom signed into meeting. That is going above and beyond. She followed instructions to download app thru staying until just before meeting began. A million thanks to this angel. Nazarine is always on time a dependable for moms appointments. The agency performs regular performance reviews with me and with mom. Just last week I had been unable to reach my mom on her cell phone by calling, texting or facetime. I called the agency to ask them to call caregiver to trouble shoot. Moms phone died and caregiver placed the phone on the charger. Yay. Also just last week caregiver Genesis surprised my mom with a special treat a bear claw from paneras. When I asked about it the caregiver, Genesis, said the client deserved a special treat after having a particularly bad evening the night before. This is why we contracted with Home Instead and their staff! Awesome group.
Home Instead and our caregiver, Dawn, are quick and detailed when anything of concern needs to be addressed. They are vigilant about service follow ups and care level needs assessments. We have faith and confidence that every week, a reliable set of eyes, Dawn’s, keep abreast of my parents many needs both physically and mentally. This info is always reported and shared.
I want to thank Home Instead for all their help. Everybody from the Caretaker’s to Management have been so helpful, and understanding. I was impressed that during COVID, even though we canceled services at that time, Home Instead continued to call and check on us. I would also like to thank Maxine, for all the time and energy she puts in making my Moms day better. Thank you all.

Home Instead has been great for my mom. The caregivers that regularly work with my mom, Delores and Alma are top notch. The house is totally transformed from where it was before they arrived both in organization and cleanliness. They are both dependable and caring. I couldn’t be happier!
When my mom needs extra care, Meredith in the office works to fill shifts and is so patient with me if things change. Recently, there were a couple weeks where we had lots of caregivers. Honestly my mom was happy with all of them. Nikki (Shumeeka) was one that stood out. My mom said she even read to her when the cable went out.
We are so thankful for Home Instead! Betty, Angie, and Dawn take such good care of Mom. They are such a blessing to our family.

Thank you Home Instead Lakeland for being there every step of the way during mom's dementia decline and her husband's need for extra help and support in order to keep mom at home. Brenda was an amazing caregiver for both of them the last two years. We had an emergency situation recently when mom's husband went to the hospital. Home Instead covered every shift until my sister and I could get there to take care of mom. Each caregiver during this difficult time for mom was outstanding.
