Wriston Marshburn and Catharine Marshburn, Owners
Wriston and Catharine moved to Anderson in 2009 to open Home Instead. Wriston is very familiar with the Upstate of South Carolina as he graduated from Furman University. He has a love and passion for seniors and had always wanted to own his own business. After practicing Law for 12 years in a large corporate firm he left practicing Law and opened the Home Instead office in Anderson, SC in 2009. After over 13 years of serving seniors in the Anderson community Wriston and Catharine feel they have been able to give the senior population what they want, and that is stay in their own home safely and independently as they age.
To Us It's Personal is the Home Instead motto and Wriston and Catharine live by that as they both have their own personal experiences with seeing their grandparents and now their own parents age and need the services of caregivers in their homes. This is very personal to them and because of that they have compassion and understanding and can put themselves in the shoes of both their clients and the client's loved ones.
Quality is the most important thing to Wriston and Catharine both on the client side and caregiver side. Home Instead Anderson has been in the top 10 in quality in the Home Instead network since 2019 in both client and caregiver satisfaction. "We work hard on a daily basis to make sure both our clients and caregivers are happy. We have two Client Care Coordinators who make home visits to every client to make sure they are receiving the care they need, and our caregivers are given extensive training before entering the home of a client and go through a mentor program once they are hired," Wriston and Catharine say.
Wriston and Catharine have been married for 27 years and have two adult children. They love spending time with their family and enjoy being outdoors hiking or being anywhere on the water. They say, "Owning Home Instead in Anderson has truly been a blessing. Knowing that what we do day in and day out for our senior population is a very rewarding thing."
