CAREGIVER OF THE MONTH
We have a longstanding tradition of recognizing one CAREGiver each month of the year who exemplifies the highest level of compassion in her or his work with clients, as well as the dependability and reliability that we count on in an employee. Please congratulate the August CAREGiver of the month:
Katelyn Forestt
Diana surprised Katelyn with a phone call (Kate works Overnights so it is hard to surprise her on shift) to present her with the CAREGiver of the Month award. Katelyn has been with us for only 6 short months but in that time has already taken 10 short notice shifts and has been flexible in picking up day time shifts while working overnights. We asked Katelyn to share a little about herself including why she became a CAREGiver and what she likes about it. This is what she had to say: “I became a caregiver because I want to make a positive impact on people’s lives and make a difference. I am very caring and family oriented, I have my two lovely parents, three sisters, one brother, two nieces and many many aunts, uncles, cousins. I enjoy spending time outdoors and doing anything creative; reading, painting, writing, etc. What I love about being a caregiver is I get to help and care for clients with their day to day lives, doing activities such as baking, puzzles, going on a walk, playing games, cooking. All things I love to do, but I get to help better someone else’s life and create relationships while doing it and that makes it worthwhile.”
