CAREGIVER OF THE MONTH
We have a longstanding tradition of recognizing one CAREGiver each month of the year who exemplifies the highest level of compassion in her or his work with clients, as well as the dependability and reliability that we count on in an employee. Please congratulate the June CAREGiver of the month:
Dorothy (Dody) Masterson
For the first time since February 2020 we were able to present our CGOM award in person while the CG was on shift. Diana and Dana had the pleasure of surprising Dody, as well as her client, with this honor while she was on shift. Dody has been with Home Instead for over 4 years and shares the following: “I transitioned from healthcare to care giving when I retired. My new role has allowed me to be productive and tap into life's experiences. I have found that it’s the little things we do for our clients that hold the most meaning. It’s a pleasure to do what I do. In my spare time I supervise my grandsons and have dabbled in golf; it’s not pretty but I have a good time!!! Our roles as Caregivers can be both challenging and rewarding but one must remember to treat our clients as we would require, with kindness, respect and a sense of humor when the situation calls for it. “
