Althea J., Owner & General Manager

Althea is a native of the Pacific Northwest but spent many years in Mesa Arizona before moving back to her hometown of Portland Oregon in 2014. This is where she stayed until she relocated to Boise in 2022.

Althea comes to Boise with many years of in-home care experience having started as a caregiver and CNA in 1994. Over the years she has worn many hats, held many titles, and worked in all aspects of the in-home care industry. She found her true knack was in compliance, regulation and finance. Her passion is and always will be providing solutions for families while taking care of the Care Professionals who make it all possible. Althea takes pride in her ability to effectively lead her team and truly stands by the mission, vision and values that Home Instead is built on.

Althea boasts a beautiful, blended family with 3 of her own children and 3 bonus children, all of whom are now adults and beginning their careers. As empty nesters, Althea and her husband Andre decided that Boise was the perfect place for the next chapter of their lives. Althea is excited for the opportunity to continue her mission of helping all people, especially seniors.

Daphne

Daphne P., Rapid Response Caregiver

Daphne has worked for Home Instead since mid- June of 2022 which was her first in-home care experience. She has lived all over the Treasure Valley my whole life and now I currently live in Nampa. She really enjoyed doing the variety of tasks that is caregiving and the clients with whom she served. Daphne works as the new “Rapid Response” and splits her time between assisting clients and helping in the office. She is an emergency fill-in and is a part of the office. She has met many wonderful seniors and getting to know some of my fellow Care Pros. Her passion is being a helpful hand, one who can bring someone a smile, maybe even develop a new friend!

What I enjoy most is being with family and friends and I love any excuse to be outdoors.
I have a fondness for indoor plants of all types, especially flowers. When it’s warm I like spending the day outside paddle boarding or walking. When it’s cold you can find me in a bowling alley! I love to learn new things! I recently earned my phlebotomy certification. I
enjoyed the challenges it brought.
In a nutshell, I will be helping wherever I am needed for the day. I will help with many of the day-to-day tasks in the office with this hybrid role. Most importantly I get to support all of you, our wonderful Care Pros!
