Dylan Bent, a junior at Walpole High School, is holding a shoe drive through an organization he is an ambassador for, Soles4Souls. Dylan is looking to collect new and gently worn sneakers and shoes to help those in impoverished countries. At the same time, it will be helping the environment by keeping them out of landfills. What a good cause! One that Home Instead of Walpole, MA is happy to promote!
Soles4Souls is one of the top-rated nonprofits in the country. They turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunities, by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief, creating jobs, and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty.
He is hoping to make an impact in these people’s lives so any pair(s) that you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Last year, he got a great response with over 1600 pairs collected, and he hopes to hit a new record of shoes in 2023!
Drop-Off locations will be at the Walpole High School lobby, the Norwood Senior Center, and 15 Carl Road in Walpole. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated!
