Clarksville July 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Ora D.
Meet Ora, the July Professional CAREGive of the Month for Clarksville! Ora comes to us from Home Instead of Florida, where she worked for three years. She was a preschool teacher prior to that, so she is used to giving care to people of all ages. Ora does morning devotions each day and breathing exercises every night. It was during one of those sessions that she says God spoke to her and told her she would be moving to Tennessee. She simply said, “show me the way”, and secured the position at Home Instead of Clarksville. She says, “I love what I do, and my clients are like my family”. Ora has 1 client now, where she works 12-hour shifts.
When Ora is not working, she loves camping and hiking with her dog, a rescue pit bull mix. She and her dog walk 3-9 miles every day! When she is not out walking, you may find Ora baking a banana roll or watching FBI shows. She also enjoys a wide variety of music, from Christian to country and opera. Ora’s supervisor says she was chosen because, “Ora has such a big heart and has been an asset to our Home Instead family!” We are certainly glad Ora followed her calling and joined our Clarksville family. We hope to have Ora on our team for many years to come!
