December 2020 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Laranda Cain Runkle
Congratulations, Laranda, for being our CGOM for December! Laranda, aka Ray, answered the following questions so we could get to know her better.
Where were you born?
I was born in the small town of Shattuck, Oklahoma.
Where did you grow up?
When I was three, I moved to an even smaller town called Darlington, Wisconsin. I moved me and my son to Arkansas just 3 years ago.
How long have you worked at HISC?
I've worked at Home Instead for 8 months. It's been awesome!
What's your favorite part of caregiving?
My favorite part of being a caregiver is hands down being able to make my clients life easier and more enjoyable. Being able to help provide these amazing people a high-quality care and companionship and seeing their smiles of gratitude is truly an award on its own.
Tell us about your family, hobbies, and interests.
I have an amazingly happy-go-lucky 6-year-old son Elijah, who is my world. I have an amazing boyfriend JoJo, my mother Chasity, and Grandma Theda, who are my 3 biggest supporters! They push me to be the best me I can be. My hobbies are mostly just spending time with my family, reading a good book, and helping people when I'm able to!
