Annual Give65 Fundraising Event for Older Adults July 12-15

Home Instead is committed to fearlessly creating today, the world we want to grow old in tomorrow through our program Ready to Care by Home Instead®. You don’t need to be a superhero to make a positive impact in an older adult’s life.

One way to get involved is through the Home Instead Charities® annual Give65 fundraising event, July 12-15. We’re partnering with more than 130 charitable organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada serving over one million aging adults in need to raise funds and awareness for their vital services and programs. Since its launch in 2016, Give65 has raised more than $5.2 million.

Older adults throughout North America rely on charitable organizations for meals, transportation, social activities, housing services and so much more. While the aging population is growing rapidly, funding for charitable organizations serving aging adults is not keeping pace. In the U.S., less than two percent of funding from the nation’s largest grant makers is focused on the aging population.

During our 65-hour online giving event,  we’re rallying people to give $10 or more to help more older adults age with the dignity and independence they deserve.

Home Instead franchise offices are also teaming up with these charitable organizations to give back to less fortunate older adults in their local communities.

Give65 is providing matching grants and financial rewards in the U.S. and Canada to inspire people to give and give on a greater level. Donors can search for an organization in their local community, or filter based on a cause that’s close to your heart. Donations of $10 or more are accepted and appreciated.

To donate, visit: www.Give65.org (U.S.). Donations are tax deductible. If you’d prefer to give your time, please visit the “volunteer” section of the Give65 site for a list of opportunities.

“While Home Instead can’t serve every aging adult, we can be a resource and a beacon of hope to many. I hope you will mark your calendars for July 12 - 15 and give back to less fortunate aging adults in a way that’s meaningful to you,” said Jeff Huber, Home Instead CEO.

Caregivers and Loved Ones Find Support

When Paul was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he and his wife started attending programs at LIFE – A Dementia Friendly Foundation.

“Paul has a great love for music so when we were offered the Memory in Music Kit, I quickly got his favorite music together for our own customized kit. It made such a difference. The weekly meetings online help me so much to get through the daily challenges. I am ever so grateful for the Dementia Friendly LIFE group and the many ways they strive to help us caregivers and our loved ones,” said Lisa.
