Our April 2022 Brian Geenty Caring Star is... Dennis "Patrick" Prudhomme!
Rarely do you find a person with such a giving heart and a passion to care as our most recent Caring Star Award winner! Patrick has won over the hearts of some of our most challenging clients with his enthusiasm and finding small ways to make a huge difference in the clients he cares for. We all know, caregiving is often challenging with few rewards.
Patrick embraces these challenges and finds new ways to positively influence his client's needs. With a long term quadriplegic client, Patrick has changed his life by providing small acts of kindness like preparing him for dinner by gently wiping his hands and face with a warm soft cloth. The action was not only stimulating to our client, but was recognized by his wife as well. Patrick is like a breath of kindness wherever he goes, as described by another client he cares for. He is always positive, attentive and always there when we need him. He has quickly become the person our clients and staff count on when needed most.
Patrick's gift is the greatest gift of all; he has an innate sense of caring and knowing what might make a difference in someone's life every day. He arrives professional and is always willing to do what is needed and beyond. In speaking to one client, they stated, "He knows what I need before I even knew I needed it." That is the greatest compliment of all, and we are truly proud to recognize him as our Caring Star for this month!
