Karen Salcedo 2024 final

Karen Salcedo, Director of Operations

Karen joined Home Instead Fredericksburg in 2007 and has been an integral part of the business ever since. While the landscape of aging is ever changing, a constant is Karen's dedication to serving the Clients and Care Professionals in the community. Overseeing the operations of caring for others is meaningful, is a calling, a purpose and a privilege.

Annette Smith 2024

Annette Wright, Staffing Coordinator

Annette has been a part of Home Instead since 2016 and is in charge of staffing the schedules that our clients need.  Her ability to match a Care Professional with a Client is a testament to the relationships she has built.  Her competence instills trust and makes our clients and their families feel understood.  Annette truly gives of herself to the role in how she approaches each case with heart.

Gina Mullins 2024

Gina Mullins, Marketing & Client Services Manager

Gina is always on the go! She has spent years cultivating and building relationships around the community and is truly passionate about our aging population. Giving of her time and herself to various organizations and events that benefit area seniors, Gina believes in excellent customer service and education. Gina also goes out to meet with potential clients interested in learning more about how our services may help them maintain their independence. Her selfless nature and unwavering dedication to her work and to those around her are a gift to all who come into contact with her.  

Christina Self 2024

Christina Self, BSN, RN

Though she began her nursing career working in critical care, Christina now oversees our personal care services as well as our veteran clients.  Christina performs initial consultations; she provides guidance and training to Care Professionals and she performs supervisory visits to clients to ensure that the care they need is the care that they are receiving.  Christina is driven to see the best outcomes for all of our clients.

Teri Smith 2024

Teri Smith, HR Coordinator

Teri oversees all things Care Professional!  From the application to interview to hiring, Teri is the one constantly onboarding new Care Professionals in order to help that many more clients.  She is responsible for nurturing our Care Professionals and helping them to be the most professional and best versions of themselves when serving our clients.  Teri deeply cares for others. Her empathy and understanding motivate her to want our Care Professionals to feel empowered, valued and heard as part of the Home Instead family.  

Carole Greene 2024 final

Carole Green, RN - Trainer

Carole is a Registered Nurse that also happens to be an amazing teacher! Carole helps prepare our Care Professionals to provide the absolute best care. She teaches an Alzheimer's & Other Dementias course to all of new hires to help equip them with the tools neede to successfully help anyone suffering with cognitive decline. The goal is always to enable our Care Professionals to contribute to the best client outcomes. The hands on care is also taught by Carole where she skillfully ensures that all of our caregivers are capable of providing personal care and assisting our clients with those Activities of Daily Living.  

Donna Shanklin 2024

Donna Shanklin, On-Call Coordinator

Donna came to Home Instead with many years of experience as a caregiver (CNA), On-Call Coordinator, and Staffing Coordinator. This is a "come-from-the-heart" job and Donna has that heart and compassion. Donna takes over outside of office hours where she helps prospects get in touch with a Client Care Coordinator; where she helps Care Professionals with questions about their cases; where she ensures that shifts are all staffed. In short, Donna keeps everything running as it should during the night and weekends and helps us to stay a 24/7 business!
