Another successful Be a Santa to a Senior is in the books!
We partnered with the Burke's Outlet stores in Gastonia and Lincolnton to host our "Be a Santa to a Senior" Christmas trees. Those trees were decorated with paper ornaments featuring seniors' first names and their desired gifts. Holiday shoppers chose an ornament, bought the requested gift and returned it to the store with the ornament attached.
We took it from there and got the gifts wrapped and delivered to local seniors who might not otherwise receive a gift. By delivering the gifts with a warm friendly face and kind words we were able to remind these seniors that their community cares about them!
A huge Home Instead thank you goes to the O’Dell family for donating over 80 gifts to our Be a Santa to a Senior program!! What a blessing this is for so many seniors this holiday season!! Thank you and may God bless you!!
