Congratulations to the May 2022 Care Professional of the Month - Cherrie W.
We'd like to congratulate Cherrie Wells for being our Care Professional of the Month for May. Cherrie is a very hard worker and is always cheerful doing so. We appreciate that she is available to work different days and shift times. She is incredibly creative and committed to engaging her clients and enriching their lives. For example, Cherrie and another Care Professional set up a Christmas tree at the client’s home and they keep it decorated with holiday/seasonal decorations (Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day). The other Care Professionals with this client have also really enjoyed participating in the decorating. Read on to learn a little more about her.
Where Were You Born
I was born in Thailand and then I was adopted by American doctors who took me to the United States when I was six.
Where did you grow up?
Florida, and then we also lived in New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia. Virginia is my favorite.
How long have you worked at HISC?
1 year.
What's your favorite part of caregiving?
I love working with my present client and treasure the time that I get to spend with her. I feel that every person is important, so I don't have favorites.
Tell us a little about yourself
Cherrie is married and has 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Since all of them live in Virginia, she is able to maintain contact with them. Things she loves: art, writing stories/poems/letters, people (especially the elderly), going on walks in the park, church/worship, eating, family gatherings & reunions. If any of you have ever met Cherrie, you would say she is a wonderfully pleasant person to be around.
