Congratulations to the January 2023 Care Professional of the Month - Priscilla Cheatham!
We really appreciate how Priscilla is always willing to pick up last minute shifts and the excellent care that she provides for her client with dementia! Thank you!
Where were you born and where did you grow up?
I was born in Albemarle County, grew up in Spotsylvania, and then moved to Madison.
How long have you worked at Home Instead?
I’ve been working for Home Instead one year and eleven months.
What’s your favorite part of caregiving?
My first experience caregiving was helping care for my mother when she had back surgeries when I was a child. I am also grateful that my sisters and I were able to care for my father when he had cancer. The best part of caregiving is providing the best care possible day to day. I'm very sincere when taking care of people. It is a Joy.
Tell us a little about yourself.
In my younger years my Dad passed away. My two sisters and I care for my Mother now. Giving back is so important. Life is challenging, but when loving hands come together to help, it really matters. I enjoy spending time with my nieces and I like to travel. Having these experiences is a blessing. Being outdoors in the summer and fall is relaxing for me.
