Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or Dementia can be a challenging journey, and at Home Instead of Wilkes-Barre, PA, we recognize the importance of offering caregivers a supportive community. We are pleased to spotlight an ongoing monthly support group presented by the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter. This group provides a safe haven for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and find comfort among others who understand the unique struggles of caring for individuals with dementia.
We extend an invitation to caregivers in our community to join us for the upcoming Alzheimer's and Related Dementia Caregiver Support Group event. The session will take place on Wednesday, September 6th, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, at the Geisinger Memory and Cognition Clinic (620 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702).
During these sessions, attendees will:
- Form a support system to navigate the challenges of caregiving.
- Exchange practical insights, strategies, and potential solutions to overcome hurdles.
- Share emotions, thoughts, concerns, and needs in a non-judgmental setting.
- Gain awareness of valuable local resources and available support.
