Home Instead of Wilkes-Barre, PA is excited to invite caregivers to the monthly Alzheimer's and Related Dementia Caregiver Support Group event. This support group, presented by the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, provides a nurturing space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and gain valuable support from others who understand the challenges of caring for loved ones with dementia.
Join us on June 7th from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Geisinger Memory and Cognition Clinic, located at 620 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. The meeting will take place in the clinic conference room, offering a confidential environment where caregivers can openly discuss their experiences and find solace in a community of understanding individuals.
Alzheimer's Association support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for people living with dementia and their care partners to:
- Develop a support system
- Exchange practical information on challenges and possible solutions.
- Talk through issues and ways of coping.
