Superfoods For Seniors and there Nutrition Care

Vitamin K helps prevent blood clots and osteoporosis. Leafy green vegetables also include folate, magnesium, and potassium, three things essential to the body functioning well.

Another category of helpful vegetables is the “cruciferous” vegetables. These are high in fiber, which is great for the digestion, they help us to feel full, which helps with weight loss, and they help protect against damage to DNA, which can prevent cancer. The best of this category is Brussels sprouts, which can do the trick by eating only four to six of them. Some people struggle with Brussels sprouts, so broccoli or cauliflower can also do the trick. But with any of them, roasting them at about 400 degrees, with some olive oil, salt and pepper, and garlic powder, can really make them amazing.
