I have always received the finest home care referrals, but I especially want to compliment AALIYAH, who comes to me three nights a week. She is the embodiment of the best in a Caregiver: always giving me the kindest, most efficient (amazing what she can do in a short time!) and attentive help in all the ways a woman with pain and mobility problems need most! Aaliyah is all that, plus she has a warm sense of humor, which helps as much as all the rest! Please recognize her for what she is: a Caregiver Star. Marie, Randi Ruimy's caregiver, works 8 hours a day, Monday - Friday and 3 hours on Saturdays' and Sunday's. She does an excellent job and handles all of Randi's needs. She helps Randi with everything!
Home Instead has been a game changer for my Mom. The caregiver that was paired with her is so very kind and takes great care of my Mom. Home Instead has allowed my Mom to feel independent at this stage of her life. Update: May 2024 - Home Instead has continued to be a wonderful company to work with. Mom's caregiver, Irma, is just so kind and patient with my Mom and continues to go above and beyond. Irma is now one of our family members. Mom would be lost without her.
We hired Home Instead for my father and we could not be more pleased with their services. Mark and his staff are incredibly organized, caring and reliable. We worked with Mauricio as our main care giver for six days a week and he was amazing. Mauricio was kind and reliable with a sense of humor. He became like member of the family. He was able to help my father with his daily exercises and without his help my father would not have been able to stay in his home until shortly after his 91st birthday. We called around to several other agencies and found Home Instead to be clearly the best one around. Save yourself the time...just go straight to Home Instead.

I had very little knowledge of how in home care works or what is included until I contacted Home Instead in Sherman Oaks CA. From the very first phone call with Jim Trisch the owner, I felt comfortable. Jim, who I learned is a Registered Nurse, was very sensitive and understanding. He took the time to learn as much as he could about my family member and put me at ease with his compassion and sincerity. Jim walked me through all of the services offered by Home Instead. He explained that he and his team could custom design a care plan that meets the needs of my family member. Jim talked about the care givers and how they all are registered with the state, and have had extensive training. I highly recommend using Home Instead based on how I was treated by Jim and his team!
I needed 24 hour care services in Sherman Oaks for my Father and I decided to choose Home Instead over other companies I reviewed because 1. they were the best communicators of the bunch which is VERY important to me and 2. they seem the most professional & organized. So far my Father has been very happy!! :)
I heard of Home Instead Senior Care from a friend who was using their caregiving services for his Mom. He wouldn't stop talking about how much his mom loves her caregiver, so I decided to give them a try for my mom who was going to have surgery, and needed round the clock help. I called them and they gave the my mom the best caregiver and service. We couldn't be happier. They were caring, sensitive to her needs, and very well trained. I am so grateful to Jenny, the office manager who provided my mom with the best caregiver. Thank you for making us feel like family.
So, I had previously inquired with Home Instead Senior Care for my father and after reviewing my options I decided to proceed with them because they are attentive, courteous and trustworthy (which is major! Especially because it's a family member who's involved) We've now been working with Home Instead Senior Care for my father for about a month and I just wanted to take a moment to share with others that choosing Home Instead is the way to go. Their staff is so well trained and thorough, I now have the confidence to go to work everyday without worrying about the well-being of my father. Our care giver is so communicative and takes the initiative to make my father feel the most comfortable, which is honestly the first time I've encountered a caregiver taking that extra mile to help and I'm glad I got her! Again, truly satisfied with the overall service and attentiveness of the company (especially because they have the sweetest caregivers/staff!!) . I definitely recommend them.
Home Instead was extremely helpful in helping me coordinate and relocate my mother in law (97 yrs old) from a Rehab facility in the Bay Area to a home in Sherman Oaks, Ca. I'd like to thank the whole staff who worked with the social worker to determine the level of care needed. Without Home Instead's support we would been lost as to what steps it takes to move a very senior person into a home. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs help in moving a relative into the appropriate care facility.
I called Home Instead Senior Care in Sherman Oaks when my mom needed a caregiver. They were very reliable, and they made sure the caregiver was a perfect fit with my mom. My mother had mild dementia and rarely likes anyone helping her, let alone in her house, but her caregiver was so sweet and kind and felt part of the family. She brightened up my mother's life and I felt comfortable that my mom had a companion with her, helping her. The manager would also do occasional visits to the house to make sure things were going well with my mom and her caregiver. Thank God for Home Instead Senior Care and their angel caregivers!
Hello, first I want to say that I am not associated with Home Instead in any way other than being a client of theirs. This is going to be long but it's worth it!! So my review is truthful, honest, and not fabricated!
In May 2020 our Mom had fallen, had two major fractures, and dementia. Eventually, dementia progressed quickly through the hospital stay, and attempted rehab (did not go well, she was in rehab under 24 hrs). I had to make a decision quick. S/w my best friend of 30+ yrs. She used Home Instead in Lancaster for her Mom and loved them. I called the Sherman Oaks office. Made an appt for Jim to come out and discuss everything. Jim was very thorough and informative. My Dad, Sister, and I all felt very comfortable also confidant about bringing Mom home.
Everything is always a bit rocky in the beginning until there is a routine. My sister and I are big communicators, everything worked well with our caregiver. I often called the office to discuss things with Cherrise and Maybel! They are simply amazing and miracle workers!! In August 2020 we had to put Mom in Memory Care (not easy to do!) So now there is one.
Now there is Dad. Dad's dementia was also progressing with falling issues. So we leaned on Home Instead again and adjusted the Care needs for Dad. We were given this wonderful woman Cheryl!! Cheryl was with Dad for a year until he went to be with God in April 2021. Cheryl loved our Dad very much also was a great caregiver!
To this day we still keep in touch with the office and some of the Caregivers, they had become our extended family! If you are looking for someone to truly care and take care of them I would highly recommend Home Instead Sherman Oaks!

My experience so far with Home Instead in Sherman Oaks has been great. My mother loves her caregiver & that gives me the peace of mind I need. They had a free in home assessment that proved to be very helpful in choosing them over some other companies I was considering. Helps that Home instead also had the best pricing options available for what my mother needed. She suffers from Alzheimer's which is a horrible disease but the caregivers here are trained & certified to work with these kinds of conditions. Thats a huge plus. If they still offer the assessment then I wpuld highly recommend utilizing. You'll gain a lot of info. I thought I had things figured out until I had the assessment done, which they will come to your house to perform. Best of luck in your search!!
I'm very impressed with the level of service offered by Home Instead Care in Sherman Oaks. The staff I've met have all been very cordial and make an effort to make sure your parents or loved ones are matched with the right caregiver. This is important.

When our family needed a caregiver for my mother who resides in Granada Hills, my husband and I spoke to my cousins in Chicago. They mentioned that after asking around they had settled on a company called Home Instead Senior Care, that came highly recommended from their neighbors.

Jenny came out to meet with us in person and was very helpful and patient in answering all of our questions.

We are using Home Instead - Sherman Oaks. They've been wonderful. They provide in-home care. Lately, it's been every day because my mom just recently had surgery. It's for three hours a day, every day. And she cooks and helps her out and helps her move around. If necessary, she takes her to doctor's appointments. The caregiver is great. She's very kind. She's very compassionate. She's a middle-aged woman who understands how to take care of people because she's got her own kids and her husband and stuff. And she's just patient and very nice. They're very flexible with the scheduling, they work with us, the billing is prompt, it's what we agreed to, and they email me when there are issues that come up. It's all very good. The billing is simple and automatic.
24/7 care for a 90 year old. Love how much they care and how much they help me with the process of finding the right caregivers for us. They provided a caregiver the esa CD taking care and helping with all the needs for us. Thanks for all the help. Love you guys.

The agency provided excellent communication. Staff always arrived early or on time. My interactions with the caregiver was one on one, Phone calls and notes. A professional and kind experience. The agency responded professionally and accurate.
I worked with Cherisse to get my father set up for care. The insurance part of this is sooo difficult and Cherisse was holding my hand all the way through to get Dad set up. If you need someone who is kind and understanding, choose Home Instead.
We got Home Instead for my mother-in-law. They're extremely professional and quick when responding. We talked to a lot of different companies. They were one of only two places that responded, and the only one that sent somebody out to talk with us. We were very impressed with their response, professionalism, and approach. They have a good reputation and that's why we're comfortable hiring them. They help my mother-in-law in all day-to-day functions, i.e., eating, mobility, and bathing.
I made the move to Southern California about a year ago for work, and my father couldn't be left alone so we decided that he would go along with me and my family. Back home, I used to work part time and it was convenient for me to be responsible for taking care of my dad. Moving to Socal, my husband and I both had full time jobs and we needed help. When first moving to Southern California, I was really anxious about finding the right help that would work with my schedule, get along with my dad, and know exactly what to do if something went wrong. A coworker, whose mom had Alzheimers, recommended Home Instead Senior Care. I was hopeless at that point- none of the home care companies had exactly what my dad needed- but Home Instead Senior Care was a dream! They helped me with scheduling, are super knowledgable about my dad's condition, and my dad gets along really well with his caretaker. On top of that, the prices are great! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!
When I was looking for 24 hour affordable senior care for my grandma I started asking people I know. It's amazing that two people actually referred me to Home Instead, and specifically Jenny who as kind, professional and answered all of my questions. Even though I was never taking care of grandma myself and didn't know all the details of exactly what she needed, Jenny and her team offered their free in-home assessment to help determine exactly what would be best for her. Like the other reviews say, they are very easy to get a hold of and always available to answer my questions pretty quickly. The caretaker helps my grandma with pretty much everything now like: taking her medicine, driving her around, dressing, showers, walking and much more. Plus my grandma told me how nice and sweet the caretaker was, which means the world to me!! Thank you x a million for the service you've provided to my grandma - much appreciated!
I felt compelled to write a review for Home Instead because I have been very, very happy with the caregiver they have chosen for me. I've been through a couple of surgeries and needed someone to assist me & Home Instead has been by my side every step of the way. They are very well trained, caring & sensitive to your needs. They feel like family to me. I cannot thank them enough.
For me personally, finding someone to take care of my Mother as I focused on my career has benefit me tremendously & I no longer feel guilty for not being around to support her. I couldn't do this without the help of Home Instead's caregiver services. They found a couple GREAT caregivers that my Mother is very impressed with, as am I. The peace of mind I have knowing she is well-taken care of when I'm not around makes it worth every penny.
My grandpa loves Home Instead Sherman Oaks. I found this company awhile back and we've been very satisfied for over a year now. When it comes to home care services for elderly or seniors, you need to find a company that makes an effort to find appropriate caregivers that mesh well. Home Instead understands this, which is why I've already recommended to them to a few buddies of mine who are starting the process of finding a company that can take care of his aging parents.

As we all know, the time will come when our parents will need more help than we can give them. This can be an extremely overwhelming ordeal!!! I am extremely grateful for the caring and understanding support i was given by the exceptional staff. Cherisse was an answer to our prayers !!! Her kind and caring demeanor put our minds at ease. My aunt was looking for in-home care in the Studio City area - I called Jenny on her behalf and the caregiver they have provided has been tremendous. After 3 months I would say we are very happy and are going to continue using their service.

We were looking for a professional yet caring company to help us get her some companion care as well as to be "on call" when or if we ever needed 24-7 care in an emergency. Home Instead's team (Jim and Cherisse) hit the mark on all accounts, finding her a wonderful companion to help with shopping and getting her exercise and simple companionship as well as when we needed emergency care for when her primary cargiver became injured (had someone for her within 12 hours). They gave us the peace of mind that our mom was well cared for and would highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.
