Tracey Gibson, Franchise Owner and Operations Manager
My husband, Creighton Gibson, and I operate together with an administrative team of 20 people Gibson Care Corp., d/b/a Home Instead, a licensed home care agency serving Iredell and Alexander Counties. This past year marked our 17th Anniversary serving our community. Our team facilitates workshops and classes in the areas of Alzheimer's C.A.R.E., Stanford University's "Healthy Living with Chronic Diseases and Healthy Living with Diabetes", lead a professional Leadership Team that prepares for doctor visits, senior nutrition, dealing with the stress of care giving, and we also speak to companies and organizations on topics related to senior care for their employees.
I am a Past Statesville Theatre Board member, Past Chairman of the United Way of Iredell, member of the Rotary Club of Statesville where I am a Paul Harris Fellow, Chairman of the Public and Governmental Affairs for the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce, and the Chairman of the Iredell Christian Missions board. I served on a national marketing committee that positions Home Instead as a global leader while "Changing the Face of Aging". I have also served as the Past Chair of the Carolina Balloonfest and I am active in my local church serving on the Youth Council for South River Baptist Church.
Creighton and I have 20 years of combined non-profit management and leadership experience from previous roles in church leadership, Chamber of Commerce work in Statesville and Davie County and various leadership roles in the community.
Some awards that I am very proud of include Business of the Year from the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce along with 2 separate years Top Sales per Senior in the Mid-Atlantic Region from Home Instead. Home Instead is a member of Mooresville and Statesville Chambers of Commerce, and Home and Hospice Association of the Carolinas. I hold a Bachelors Degree in business from Gardner-Webb University. I also served on corporate's Franchise Exchange Council and Marketing Fund committee for six years.
I am married to Creighton Gibson (29 years) and we have one daughter, Brittany Gibson who attended Appalachian State University for Elementary Education. We enjoy many types of sports such as volleyball, camping, golf, hot air balloons and statewide politics. I identify my keys to success as: tremendous family and business support; taking many leaps of faith; courage not to waiver; ability to ask for help and a passion to help others by being a resource to seniors in our community.
