Care Pro Training
Coping with a progressive condition requires patience, empathy and love. Our Care Pros trained in care for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias can help provide just that for your family. Warm, familiar surroundings can play such an important role in managing cognitive diseases and enhancing quality of life.
Memory Care is specialized care for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. As the disease progresses, symptoms associated with memory loss such as wandering outside the home and changing sleep patterns can make it difficult to care for someone living with dementia. An older adult with problematic symptoms of dementia may require professional care if family caregivers are unable to provide around-the-clock supervision.
Yes! While Memory Care is often provided at a facility, a trained, professional caregiver can also provide memory care in a home setting. The goal of Memory Care is to provide constant supervision, a safe environment, reassuring companionship, medication reminders and assistance with activities of daily living, such as keeping the home in order, the laundry clean and preparing meals.
Your loved one's home is a familiar and comforting environment. Providing care in the home ensures one big constant in their lives is maintained: where they live. This thread to the past can provide some measure of stability, as established routines can be maintained. A professional caregiver can provide more personalized, 1-on-1 care to maintain these routines, keep the home both safe and tidy, and monitor your loved one as symptoms progress.
Yes! Our Care Pros are extensively trained in Alzheimer's and dementia care. We provide lessons and modules on the diseases and the behaviors they often cause, but we also provide hands on training and many of our Care Pros have substantial experience providing Memory Care to clients in the field.
Our office staff has an intimate understanding of the progression of Alzheimer's and dementia and we are prepared to offer our advice, support and guidance to any family who is facing this circumstance for the first time.
