Dear Friends,
Santa’s elves are knocking at your door to ask, “will you help be a Santa to a Senior?” This community-based service program helps bring holiday cheer and gifts to seniors who are least likely to receive a gift during the holiday season. Often, these seniors are without family, friends, or resources. That is where YOU come in!
This is how the program works:
Purple trees will be decorated with the senior’s gift requests printed on ornament tags at the tree locations listed below beginning November 18.
Gift requests in the past have been so simple and clearly very needed. Things such as slippers, pajamas, socks, lap blankets, puzzles, bath towels, cooking utensils, coffee mug, boxed candy, etc. These simple gifts mean SO much to the seniors.
Participation is easy.
- Pick a tree location
- Pick up a gift tag from the purple tree
- Purchase the gift
- Return the unwrapped gift back to the tree location that you chose the tag from by the DEADLINE of December 9.
We will collect the unwrapped gifts from the tree locations, wrap them and deliver them to the seniors the week of December 19.
