Bowling Green April 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Jerone W.
Meet Jerone W., the April Professional CAREGiver℠ of the month for Bowling Green! Jerone is originally from Hopkinsville, KY and describes himself as a musician. He started playing piano at age 7 and has even been a street performer in Nashville for 2 years! From there he tried working in factories and restaurants, but really craved the people connection he had as a performer. His family works with foster children, so he had a background in helping persons with special needs. This is what brought him to Home Instead.
He currently works with an amputee and says that it is exactly where he wants to be. He plays music for the client and the family. He says one day he hopes to be able to do music therapy because he loves playing for bed bound patients. Jerone’s supervisor says, “ Jerone is always putting the clients’ needs first. He is attentive and detailed, always taking the initiative, while being friendly and cordial”.
When Jerone is not working, you can find him dancing or playing Irish music. He loves to take a trip to Cracker Barrel® for dinner and then come home and watch some thrillers on TV. You might also find him baking pies or pastries! Jerone is a multi-talented individual and we are so thankful that he chose Home Instead! We hope Jerone continues to share his love and light to our clients for many years to come!
