Meet Our Team

Richard Harrison is Co-owner and Executive Director for Home Instead, Oak Park, with over 20 years of experience in the industry.  Richard’s passion for senior care began when he was a caregiver for an elderly church member, and he quickly realized the need for helping seniors age in place with dignity. 

Under Richard’s leadership, the company has become one of the most trusted and respected providers of home care services for seniors in Oak Park and the surrounding communities.  As the manager overseeing employee recruitment, client care and marketing, Richard works closely with clients and their family members to ensure that their unique needs are met. 

Richard’s expertise in the senior care industry has led him to be recognized as a thought leader and advocate for seniors.  He has been actively involved in a number of professional organizations and initiatives supporting seniors in the communities his company serves. 

In his free time, Richard enjoys spending time with his own family and competing in endurance sports.  He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. 

Tia Harrison is Co-owner and Director of Operations for Home Instead, Oak Park.  Tia’s journey in the field of senior care began over 20 years ago when she and her husband purchased a Home Instead franchise after recognizing the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for seniors. Over the years she has developed a keen understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by seniors and their families. Her empathetic nature and exceptional leadership skills have earned her the trust and respect of both clients and staff members alike. 

As the Director of Operations, Tia is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of Home Instead, Oak Park. She works tirelessly to ensure that the agency operates at the highest standard of excellence, delivering personalized care tailored to meet the specific needs of everyone under their care. Her care team’s attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance have earned Home Instead, Oak Park a reputation for providing top-notch, personalized services. 

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Tia enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and helping women improve their overall wellbeing through regular exercise, proper nutrition, and mind renewing activities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. 

Amy Scotty is the Client Care Coordinator for Home Instead, Oak Park.  Amy’s relationship with the company began several years ago as she oversaw care for her mother who was receiving help from Home Instead. After her mother’s passing, Amy joined the company as a caregiver helping seniors with their activities of daily living and later came on board as our Client Care Coordinator. 

Amy is known for taking time to listen carefully to each client’s concerns and works closely with them to develop personalized care plans that meet their specific needs. 

With a deep understanding of the challenges facing seniors and their families, she is committed to providing compassionate and empathetic support to all of her clients and dedicated to helping seniors maintain their independence and live their best lives.

With over a decade spent as Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for Home Instead, Oak Park, Renita Ward is passionate about ensuring seniors receive the highest quality care possible. She is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring and training of Care Professionals who provide in-home care services to mostly seniors in need. Renita understands the importance of matching the right caregiver with each client and is committed to finding compassionate, skilled caregivers who share her dedication to providing exceptional care.
