Dar Dahleen, Franchise Owner

Dar Dahleen, Franchise Owner

Dar - Grew up in Orland Park, Illinois. Dar is a CPA and has spent 25 years in public accounting as a manager and a trusted advisor to clients for many years. Prior to becoming a CPA, Dar received an Associate’s degree in Science from Moraine Valley Community College and a B.A. in Business Administration from Governor’s State University.

Dar’s first experience with Home Instead Senior Care came when she was working as a CPA for several franchise owners. From working with the owners, she had the opportunity to see the services Home Instead provides and the empathy that goes into caring for seniors. When the opportunity to own a HISC franchise became available, she seized the moment to make a difference. Dar’s main focus has always been on service for her clients and making sure their needs are met. She feels that HISC is the best way she can meet the needs of the seniors in our community to keep them independent and in their homes.

“I watched both of my grandmothers spend the end of their lives in nursing homes, one had dementia, and the other had several strokes that left her almost paralyzed, I decided then that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of seniors to keep them in their own homes. The need is so great for services like ours and there are not a lot of opportunities available to these seniors but now I can offer seniors an alternative that allows them to remain in their homes.”

Tricia Trendle-Marker, General Manager

Tricia Trendle-Marker, General Manager

Tricia graduated from Lewis University with a B.A. in Psychology. Ever since she began her career in psychology, she knew that she wanted to work with those that needed the most help: the elderly. Shortly after graduating in June 2011, Tricia became a CAREGiver with Home Instead. In March 2012, Tricia moved into the office as the Client Care Coordinator. In January of 2014, Tricia assumed the role of CAREGiver & Staffing manager, which requires her to oversee the schedules for all of our clients and CAREGiver and lead the recruiting and training for all of our compassionate CAREGivers. As a former CAREGiver, she understands the demands placed on the CAREGivers and the need for them to assimilate into the senior’s home, as well as the importance for the senior to feel comfortable with someone helping them around their home.

“After watching my mother care of my grandmother for my entire childhood, I learned that the elderly need an advocate. Society overlooks them, but they truly need a voice to speak out for them when they cannot and make sure they are getting the proper care needed to keep them safe, in their homes, and independent as long as possible.”

Carli Giglio, Staffing Coordinator

Carli graduated from North Central College in Naperville with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology. Through college, she volunteered at a variety of non- profit organizations including senior care centers, where she developed a passion for helping those in need. Carli comes from over 7 years of experience in Healthcare scheduling and recruiting. One of her biggest motivations is her late grandfather, who always taught her the importance of helping others through kindness and compassion. Carli is responsible for successfully performing and overseeing the staffing needs for clients and caregivers, by providing the highest quality service.

Team Member Jasmine

Jasmine Settles, Recruitment & Training Coordinator

Jasmine joined the Home Instead Palos Heights team in 2023 as the Recruitment & Training Coordinator. She has over ten years of experience in various customer service and recruitment roles. Through customer service Jasmine found her love for helping others grow. She is passionate about connecting with people that strive to provide exceptional service to others.

Jasmine's greatest motivation for helping the elderly comes from watching her Grandmother receive the care that she needed, in her own home. Helping our clients achieve that same level of comfort, in their own homes wherever that is, is what she will strive to accomplish in her role with Home Instead Palos Heights!

Michelle R 2021

Michelle Reidy, Engagement Coordinator

I joined Home Instead in October 2014 and have dedicated those years to serve my clients and their needs. While caring for a client who was diagnosed with vascular dementia, I found my passion for caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. I was promoted in March of 2021, to a training position to teach others about best practices caring for those with Alzheimer’s.

“I love caring for people and am thankful to both of my grandmothers from whom I have inherited the caregiving gene!” As a young girl I remember watching both of my grandmothers take care of their parents. Then when they needed help as they aged, I helped them until they passed. I wanted to continue to help seniors and their families, and I am glad I found Home Instead.
