Last Friday, Home Instead joined forces with Tiffany from Jewish Family Services (JFS) to deliver a live CEU presentation titled “Preventing Long Lie Times Can Save a Life” at Touro Infirmary Hospital. This important topic highlights the critical impact of minimizing the time seniors spend on the ground after a fall, focusing on proactive measures, rapid response, and preventative care.
We explored ways to identify risks and put strategies into place to prevent long lie times, such as regular mobility exercises and conducting home safety assessments. We were grateful for the opportunity to connect and offer information to local social workers.
