Sharon Genre, Recruiting Manager

Sharon Genre - Family Consultant

Born in Baton Rouge but raised in Denham Springs, Sharon graduated from Denham Springs High before getting her license in Cosmetology where she found her passion for working with seniors! Sharon was drawn to Home Instead by our ability to help seniors live their lives to the fullest! She enjoys working with families and our clients to provide them with helpful information about Home Instead. Kelee King - Chief Operating Officer

Kelee has worked for Home Instead for more than 5 years, offers extensive knowledge of senior care in addition to her passion and caring for seniors and their families.  Her experience, enthusiasm and winning personality is perfect for connecting with the community and referral sources.  She is an expert in developing relationships to further promote the services offered by Home Instead.  Kelee was recently promoted to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and provides marketing leadership and guidance to her team which helps lead us to success.  You may reach Kelee directly at kelee.king@homeinsteadla.net.

Detra Chark - Service Manager

Detra Chark is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana. Fitness and health have been a huge part of her life from a very early age. After high school she went on to Nicholls State University with an academic and track scholarship, graduating with a BS in Nursing and Allied Health, with a minor in management.  While in college, Detra began her coaching career at the local high school where she was fondly referred to as Coach D. Through this experience, she found her ability to lead with grace. After graduating at Nicholls, Detra went on to receive a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California. Then she circled back home to LSU for a second Masters in Healthcare Administration. With over 15 years in Leadership as a Director she decided to combine her passion for health and wellness by joining the Home Instead team. Detra is devoted to motivating others to be the very best version of themselves. Nicole James GM

Nicole James - Director of Client Experience

With her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Nicole has always worked in the helping profession. Her stated desire is to "help as many people as I can," and her background spans counseling children, high school students and adults; she now opens her heart to senior adults and their families here at Home Instead. Meeting and advising clients and prospective clients, encouraging and empowering them to overcome the challenges of aging in place, is her focus now for families like yours. Sherry Hamilton, Client Service Representative

Sherry Hamilton - Client Care Coordinator

Sherry brings a background working with families through the ALS Association with the Louisiana/ Mississippi Chapter and her role at Home Instead as Client Care Coordinator for the past 5 years. Pairing that background with her inherent love for people, she is passionate about building positive, supportive relationships with clients and family members. Jill Romero

Jill Romero - Client Care Coordinator

Jill was born and raised in Abbeville, LA and appreciates the love of her family, friends and the Cajun culture. She began her career in the medical field as a Paramedical Examiner in the Insurance Industry in Lafayette and Houma. She also has a strong background in patient services, customer care and community relations. She’s always had a special place in her heart for seniors as she helped care for her own parents with Alzheimer’s and Cancer.

Jill now lives in Zachary with her family. She is married to Russ and has two boys, Will 19 and Fischer 16. She is a lover of all Sports, but especially LSU and Zachary High Baseball. She currently serves on the board of the Zachary Athletic Foundation and enjoys the great outdoors, fishing, gardening, and festivals.  Jill can be reached directly at jill.romero@homeinstead.com.

Kashunda Lenoir, HR Director

Kashunda Lenoir - CarePro Satisfaction Specialist

Kashunda began her career at Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver and quickly worked her way up. Kashunda began her career at Home Instead as a Caregiver and quickly worked her way up. She is a CNA who has both nursing facility and hospital experience as well as a background in Worker's Compensation claims review. She brings that depth of experience to her role as Director of Human Resources as she trains, engages, and mentors the special Care Professionals who provide services to our clients.  For more than 5 of her total of 8 years at Home Instead, Kay has been leading the Human Resource Department. Shaune Berthelot - Home Care Consultant

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Shaune graduated from St. Joseph's Academy before attending LSU and graduating from ULL. Shaune has 10 years of experience in Community Relations and Marketing/Community in the healthcare industry. Shaune was brought to Home Instead due to her passion for helping others every day, which was taught to her by her parents and is excited to be a part of a team whose main goal is to improve the lives of seniors in our community! In her spare time, Shaune enjoys volunteering her time with her Daughter by serving on the Board at McMains Children's Developmental Center and belonging to the National Charity League. Shavette Christopher - Service Coordination Specialist

Shavette has worked at Home Instead for more than 10 years. Tabitha Minor

Tabitha Minor - Service Coordinator

Tabitha has more than 4 years of experience in scheduling for non-medical home care companies.  She moved from Arkansas back to Louisiana where she joined the Home Instead team to use her expertise and passion for caring for seniors.  Tabitha was born in Baton Rouge, LA., obtained her CNA certification from Florida Parish Technical College and she lived in Germany for 4 years when she was a child.  Family is everything, she enjoys cooking, being with her family, watching movies and reading a real book when she has time.  You may reach Tabitha directly at Tabitha.minor@homeinsteadla.net.

Holly Arnold - Service Coordinator

Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Denham Springs. Holly has 5+ years working in the senior living industry. From being a Life Enrichment Coordinator to Special Care Coordinator at an assisted living community, her experience with connecting to clients and identifying their needs is great for her role here at Home Instead.  Holly is happy to join the Home Instead Team and looks forward to working with both our clients and Care Pros. Brandy McCarthy

Brandy McCarthy - Recruiting Coordinator

Originally from the Home of the Strawberry Festival (Ponchatoula!), Brandy started to earn her degree in business management before being graced with her daughter. Before joining Home Instead, Brandy held a General Manager position and was also an Office Supervisor. Brandy was drawn to Home Instead by a friend of hers that had finished our orientation program and called to tell her about it, so she decided to apply to join our team as well! Originally from Addis, Nicole earned her high school degree from Brusly High and completed a year at BRCC before holding a couple different office positions before joining us at Home Instead. Carrie Green, Systems Integration Specialist

Carrie Green - Systems Integration Specialist

As Systems Integration Specialist, Carrie Green takes the lead in helping Home Instead use technology to enhance the lives of the seniors we serve. She facilitates projects like our new communication platform, telephone platform, data storage and online learning. Carrie's role is not to simply get new products introduced, but to offer coaching to Key Players and Care Pros in using these tools more productively in the various aspects of helping senior adults age in place.  You can contact Carrie directly at carrie.green@homeinsteadla.net.

Grant Cohn

Grant Cohn - Intern

Grant was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from the Dunham School in 2023 and has since moved on to Tulane University where he played division 1 baseball as a catcher for the Green Wave. As a collegiate athlete, he learned the values of leadership, hard work, commitment, and the discipline it takes to succeed. In his free time, Grant enjoys playing golf, working out, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Grant is pursuing a degree from Tulane that will lead to a career in healthcare. During his internship he will get to experience the spectrum of healthcare and how each provider plays a role in allowing seniors to remain independent and healthy at home.

Manny Boudreaux, Training Expert

Manny Bourdreaux is the in house training expert for Home Instead Senior Care. A committed employee, Manny feels he was just made to help people learn. Being the strong, silent type, his training focus is "hands on," demonstrating techniques to CAREGivers, rather than lecturing. He is always the first person at the office in the morning and the last to leave--begging the question "does he ever go home?" The staff would literally have to drag him from the training room. Because of this uncompromising dependability--he has never missed a training class--and his consistent involvement in the office, he is the perfect choice to blog about what goes on at HISC. About the Owners

Matt Cohn is a native of Baton Rouge and has been the proud owner of Home Instead Senior Care since February 2001. He and his wife Ainsley have two sons: Grant and Everett. Matt is a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and Louisiana State University. It was at LSU that he learned of the Home Instead Senior Care opportunity when the company's founder, Paul Hogan, was speaking to a franchising course that Matt was enrolled. After recognizing the need for this service in both his and Ainsley's family, he decided to pursue a franchise of his own.
 
Ainsley Cohn, a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and the Louisiana State University Holmes program, holds a Master's degree in Education. "Family is extremely important to me," says Ainsley. "That is why it is so rewarding to see not only how Home Instead Senior Care makes a difference in the lives of our clients, but also in the lives of their family members.  The ability to relieve some of the day-to-day pressures of our clients and their family members means they can spend more time enjoying each other's company."
 
Both Matt and Ainsley have worked extremely hard over the years to provide their clients with the highest level of ​​​  care, starting with the quality of the management team they employ.
