Team members Brice and Candice

Brice and Candice Irwin, Owners

Brice and Candice are passionate about providing quality in-home care to the seniors and families of this community. A former school administrator, Brice's family has been living in Harford County for generations. Candice has also lived in Harford County for most of her life, where she built a successful career in human resources. Together with their office staff, Brice and Candice are working to improve the lives of seniors in Harford and Cecil Counties, so they may continue to live safely and comfortably in their homes.

Emily Koch, General Manager

Emily joined the family business in 2016. With a professional background working with LifeBridge Health and a personal desire to help people and make a difference, Home Instead has been a perfect fit. Here, she has the role of hiring and training our excellent CAREGivers – the heart and soul of our office – to ensure our clients have the best possible care. When she isn't at work, Emily loves reading, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two children and their spastic Boston Terrier.

Kim Lauer, Service Coordinator

Kim joined Home Instead in 2015. She brings many years of professional experience in the health care field, where she worked as a surgical coordinator and medical secretary. A compassion and commitment to helping others has always been in her heart. As service coordinator, Kim works with clients and families to develop a personalized care schedule. She then chooses the perfect CAREGiver for each client so they can build a lasting relationship. Kim lives right here in Bel Air, and spends most of her free time with her daughter and four grandchildren.
Lana Wassum

Lana Wassum, Client Care Coordinator

Born and raised in Harford County, Lana has over 20 years of dedicated service in the healthcare industry, previously working at UMUCMC. Her duties include establishing service for new clients, coordinating their care across multiple providers, introducing clients to CAREGivers, and ensuring quality care that meets our strict standards. Outside of work, she treasures time spent with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling with her husband and has a love of fashion and interior design.

Cindy Neff, RN

With her regular, in-person medical assessments, Cindy ensures our clients are receiving personalized care that fits their needs and abilities. Her extensive nursing experience, compassion for clients and former time as a CAREGiver all work hand in hand to help Cindy provide expert assessments of our clients. And when there is a concern or question, Cindy is always quick to respond with a clinician's perspective.

Rhonda Curry, RN

Like Cindy, Rhonda has a lifelong nursing career that has given her the skills and experience needed to supervise our CAREGivers and create detailed care plans they can follow to ensure clients are receiving safe, supportive care that comprehensively meets their current needs.

Kim Dunaway, On-Call Supervisor

Kim was a CAREGiver with Home Instead for years, and in that time proved herself to be sweet, caring, adaptable and dedicated to our clients. For this reason, she was chosen to be our On Call Supervisor, a role that allows her to attentively respond to clients, CAREGivers and families with a genuine desire to help. Her duties also include introducing CAREGivers to new clients, providing training to new CAREGivers, and assisting with scheduling. Kim has three sons, one daughter and two grandchildren, all of whom are the lights of her life. She loves bingo, cooking, sitting by the pool and spending time with her family.

Team member Yvette

Yvette Robinson, On-Call Supervisor

​As a CAREGiver with more than 10 years of experience with Home Instead, Yvette is trained and available to respond to all client and CAREGiver questions and concerns during off hours. We provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we want our clients and CAREGivers to rest assured that, no matter what time or day, calm expertise from a live person is just a phone call away. Yvette takes pride in assisting our families and employees with urgent matters and providing peace of mind and comfort.

Miley, Cuddle Coordinator

Miley is the newest addition to our office staff! It is her job to make sure every person who comes into our office has a smile on their face, and she takes her work very seriously.
