Did you know that falls are the leading cause of injury among older adults, with 1 in 4 seniors experiencing a fall each year? At Home Instead, we’re always working to keep seniors safe, and thanks to our CalGrows grant, our Home Instead Monrovia team is now trained on the latest fall recovery products. Recently, we were able to present those at the Duarte Wellness and Resource Expo.
During the expo, we talked about how our home care services focus on reducing fall risks for seniors. We explained how our CarePros are equipped with tools and knowledge to prevent falls through the CalGrows program, which has played a key part in improving the training we provide to our CarePros. With the funding we received from the CalGrows Innovation Fund, we developed a specialized fall support training program, ensuring our caregivers know how to safely respond in fall situations.
Our participation in the Duarte Wellness and Resource Expo was an opportunity to show the community that we are not only dedicated to providing exceptional care but also to staying informed about safety innovations.
