January 2021 CAREGiver of the Month – Kelly L.
Kelly joined our team of professional caregivers in February 2019 and has over 23 years of experience taking care of people either as a CNA or as a home health care provider/specialist. Kelly believes what led her to a career in caregiving is that she just loves taking care of people, noting she as was not able to have children of her own, so this job has filled her heart with many different families.
What Kelly loves most about Home Instead “is the compassion and care everyone gives not only for the ones we care for but for all the employees as well. This has been the most amazing, caring staff I have ever had the pleasure working with. I absolutely love what I do, the people I have met, and the wonderful employees I have had the joy of working with.”
Some of Kelly’s favorite caregiving memories are quite heroic such as when she saved a client’s life getting her to the ER before she went into full kidney failure and when she helped two clients seek refuge from an abusive home.
In her time away from caregiving, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two stepsons.
