March Care Professional of the Month: Debbie
Debbie is one of only a handful of caregivers who have been with Home Instead Denver North for over a decade. To be precise, she has been on the team for 16 years and this is her 3rd Care Professional of the Month recognition! Debbie discovered her calling for caregiving when her brother suffered a brain injury and needed her care. Realizing she loved caring for others and was quite good at it, she reached out to Home Instead and the rest is history!
One of Debbie’s clients, Ms. Judy, welcomed us into her home for a surprise lunch celebration, and it is obvious how much these two care for each other. Ms. Judy hugs her and tells her she loves her at the end of their days together and this is so special and meaningful to Debbie who cares deeply for her client. When asked about Debbie, Ms. Judy’s daughter says, “Debbie is such a special Care Pro. She is kind, competent, and enriches my mom's life with special conversations, stimulating activities, and fun little gifts. She achieves the perfect balance of helping my mom and allowing her to be independent. Most importantly, she has become part of our family. Everyone who comes to the house when Debbie is there comments on their special loving bond.”
