Shannon 2022 1

Shannon Chan, Owner & President

shannon.chan@homeinstead.com

"Changing the face of aging, one client at a time in our community." Shannon moved to Bay Area shortly after enduring way too much snow and completing two master degrees in Applied Economics and Education in Buffalo, New York. It took almost a decade in banking to prepare her for her true calling, Senior Care. Her mother, a registered nurse who took care of patients all her life was the real inspiration for Shannon to pursue her dream in senior care. In her free time, Shannon enjoys swimming, a sunny day on the beach with her family and community works at Fremont Rotary Club.

Shirley was raised in the Bay Area with a Sales Professional background for more than a decade. After being a jewelry sales professional, she wanted to do something more meaningful. She always enjoys taking care and helping the elderly in the community. She had volunteer as a driver in their Church like going to grocery stores and run errands with them. She is also currently caring for her mom and helps her with cooking, driving, household chores, going to the restaurants, and going to doctor's appointments. Joining Home Instead as a Home Care Consultant made her learn how important it is to help seniors get the quality care and be able to build relationships with their families. On her free time, she enjoys volunteering at Church, hiking, biking, dancing, dining, and spending time with her family and friends.

Vivian Yi 2024

Originally from Hawaii, Vivian is new to the Bay Area, but has been a part of the Home Instead family for almost 18 years. She has been involved in the senior care industry from an early age with her parents and relatives owning  6-bed facilities in Los Angeles and Oahu. A graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in business has lent to her accomplishments as a former general manager and business owner. She feels very blessed to have the opportunity to work with seniors and to provide a helping hand, compassion and support to those in need. She finds value in human connection and believes that love makes the world go round. She attributes her life’s successes to her mom, who has always shown her the meaning of unconditional love, support, kindness and generosity. Her 83 year old mom has mid-stage dementia, so she has first-hand knowledge of this terrible disease and treasures every single day she has with her.  She is a wife, mom to two rambunctious labradoodles, an avid world traveler, golfer and fly fisher woman. She feels it a true pleasure to be our this amazing organization.
