As the holidays approach, we find ourselves reflecting on the joy and warmth that this time of year brings. It's a season of giving, and we are excited to share an opportunity with you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors who may be facing challenges during this festive period.
For over 10 years Home Instead has offered a program called "Be A Santa To A Senior" during the holiday season. This heartwarming initiative is aimed at bringing joy and comfort to seniors in our community who need additional attention and support. This year, we have over 400 seniors who have reached out for support and our mission is to fulfill every wish! We are asking our community to join us to make this holiday season a little brighter for those who need it most.
Many of these seniors are facing hardships and may be spending the holidays alone. Your support can make a significant difference in their lives.
How to Get Involved in "Be A Santa To A Senior"
- Make a Donation: Your generous contribution will go towards providing essential items and holiday cheer to these seniors. Every donation, no matter the size, will contribute to creating a festive and memorable experience for them.
- Adopt a Senior: Consider adopting a senior or two and fulfilling their Christmas wish list. We have tags available at our local office as well as trees located at the Gresham Senior Center and both Oregon City & Canby Fred Meyers!
