We had a wonderful time attending the 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Huntington Beach, CA! The weather was perfect, and our team proudly donned our Home Instead shirts as we walked in support of the Alzheimer's Association. This event serves as a powerful reminder of our dedication to providing reliable home care in Yorba Linda, CA.
Our team was proud to walk and also plant Promise Flowers in the Promise Garden. The Promise Garden is a symbolic and mission-focused element of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s events nationwide, reflecting the diverse motivations of our walkers and their commitment to those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Through color, these Promise Flowers represent the diverse motivations of our Walkers:
- BLUE - I have Alzheimer’s/dementia
- YELLOW - I am supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s/dementia
- PURPLE - I have lost someone to Alzheimer’s/dementia
- ORANGE - I support the cause and the Alzheimer’s Association's vision of a world without Alzheimer’s
During the event, over 1500 participants and 245 teams came together, contributing to a total fundraising of over $280,000 for Alzheimer's research and support. The event spotlighted the collective effort needed to combat Alzheimer's and emphasized the importance of raising awareness and funds for research to find a cure.
