Your Options for Paying for Home Care
Today, you may be able to take advantage of many programs to make personalized in-home care a reality for your family. Family-funded care
Family-funded care simply means the cost of home care services are an out of pocket expense payable by the client or their family members. Home Instead services are not payable by Medicare, Medicaid or traditional Health Insurance.
Veterans (VA) assistance
Veterans may be eligible for in-home care benefits with little to no out of pocket cost the Veteran. Benefits may be available through the Aid & Attendance benefit or the VA Community Care Network based on level of need, income levels and the time in which the Veteran served.
Long-term care insurance
If your loved one purchased a long-term care policy, it may include coverage for in-home care services. Please note, there may be an elimination period in which costs are not covered before the policy takes effect. During the elimination period, payment for services are the responsibility of the client or their family member.

Together HFC® (formerly Hilarity for Charity) and the Home Instead® network award families affected by dementia the gift of rest and support through the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Grant program.
