Home Instead Mesa's very own Mahnaz Pourian was recently featured in The Mesa for Tribune for NOT going on a vacation!
Per the Tribune:
- "Pourian owns the Mesa Home Instead offices and won a full vacation package valued at $7,500 as part of her earning the company’s Legacy Award, given to franchise owners who meet required qualifications."
- "But rather than pick a vacation destination of her choice, Pourian requested that the money funding be distributed among four entities that she felt have gone above and beyond to help needy East Valley residents."
Just like last year, these funds went to first responders and local Mesa community organizations that serve older adults (a segment of the population so near and dear to our heart)!
- Neighbors Who Care
- Tempe Fire Department
- East Valley Firefighter Charities
- Ahwatukee YMCA’s Outreach Program for Senior Citizens
Per the Tribune:
- “Serving the most vulnerable population is not just a job, it’s a community effort,” she said. “We all rely on each other to help serve our local seniors in all aspects of life. I have always appreciated the way our community serves older adults.”
- So giving up a luxurious vacation was a no brainer, she said, adding what she witnessed being done by the people who received donations “made it my honor to be able to support the work they are doing.”
