Today their Home Instead Senior Care businesses Jax Home Health Inc., Prestige Home Care Inc., and Magnolia Home Health LLC employ close to 600 full-time and part-time employees. Theirs are among the top three largest of the Home Instead Senior Care operations, which consist of over 1,100 offices in 12 countries.

Looking for an opportunity to work together and own their own business, Dave and Malorie decided to combine their specific areas of expertise in the growing healthcare field. The Hills were impressed with the professionalism and sincerity exhibited by the Home Instead Senior Care corporate staff in Omaha, Nebraska. Thus began what has turned out to be a truly rewarding adventure of developing into one of the top three owner/operators of Home Instead Senior Care's network of franchise business owners.

Native Buckeyes David and Malorie have had their office headquarters located in Jacksonville Florida since 1997. They also have offices in Saint Augustine FL., Palm Coast FL., Mason OH., Savannah GA., and Hilton Head SC.

The Hills purchased two existing Home Instead Senior Care offices located in the suburbs of Cincinnati Ohio in 2012 to add to their three Home Instead Senior Care offices located in Northeast Florida. "We loved the idea of expanding our quality-first home care business to the state where we spent over 40 years of our lives".

Once again, the opportunity to grow Home Instead remarkable services presented itself in 2019 and the Hills added the Savannah GA territory which included Hilton Head SC and neighboring communities in Beaufort and Jasper Counties.

Shane Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer of six Home Instead businesses serving offices located in Mason OH; Savannah GA; Hilton Head SC; Jacksonville FL; St Augustine FL; and Palm Coast FL.  

As CEO, Shane governs the strategic direction and collaboration of the Executive & Senior Leadership team network; facilitates emerging solutions while cultivating innovative opportunities; provides leadership on key business initiatives and manages the day-to-day operations of all six Home Instead business.

Shane is an accomplished business leader with vast experience as a former business owner with a proven track-record of transforming highly complex challenges into relevant sustained solutions and opportunities. 

Prior to this role, Shane was the President of the Home Instead Savannah GA territory which includes Hilton Head SC and the neighboring communities of Beaufort and Jasper counties from 2019-2021.

Lisa Atkinson serves as Chief Marketing Officer for 6 office franchises of Home Instead. She brings over twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry and embodies effective communication and interpersonal skills. In addition to directing the development of new business, Lisa facilitates the formulation and implementation of new business strategies and develops relationships and partnerships throughout all of the 6 franchise businesses. As C.M.O., Lisa works closely with the Marketing Teams, Leadership Team and Business Owners to seek out opportunity and fuel growth. She is very passionate about connecting the right resources to the right people at the right time. She truly lives, To Us, It’s Personal.

Hello, my name is Gabrielle. I relocated from SC to GA in 2018 and decided In 2023 to finally relocate my job here in GA as well. I have worked in Home care and Home Health for 12 plus years and love what I do. At Home Instead, I serve as lead service coordinator. As an imperative part of the team, I take great pride in getting to know each Care Professional and client both on a professional and personal level. I listen and make sure to understand their needs and wants, by doing so I can ensure the clients and Care Pros are matched perfectly for one another. In my free time I enjoy traveling, fishing, T-shirt printing, and most of all spending time with my friends and family.

Lexie, born and raised in Wisconsin, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. The first few years of her professional career, she dedicated her time to Domestic Violence survivors, providing legal and personal advocacy. From there, she worked for Long Term Care until she moved to Savannah with her family to escape the terribly long and cold winters. Providing approachable and individualized care is Lexie’s passion, she loves seeing her clients hit their personal goals and will work closely with families to create a plan that will do just so.

Robyn has her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University and specialized in direct practice with a focus on elderly and hospice services.

Robyn has 20 years total experience as a social worker and joined the Home Instead team in July of 2023. She finds fulfillment in helping guide people through difficult times and Home Instead’s mission complements this perfectly. Robyn believes that loving your neighbor is a good motto to live by and tries to carry this out in her personal and professional life as best she can by having compassion for everyone’s circumstances.

Native Savannahian, graduated Liberty University in 2014 and I have been in healthcare since 1997. I have worked in marketing, admissions and intake for skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities, assisted living, Durable Medical Equipment, home health and now, marketing for home care. I also ran an assisted living in Pooler for a 32 bed facility. I am using my business connections, community connections and marketing skills to drive business in our communities. I’m married to my husband Michael and we have one daughter who lives in Lexington, SC with our 2 grandchildren.

Sharon has been a registered nurse for many years with a background in Hospice & Home Health Care Leadership roles. She has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren which keep her busy. Our family loves to cook together and have flour over the kitchen floor when making pasta or rhubarb pie.

She loves caring for the elderly and really enjoys training caregivers. Sharon thanks caregivers are so special and have huge hearts for helping seniors. Training them in how to protect themselves, while performing the caregiver role is so very important as we want our Super Stars to work with Home Instead for a long time. What a blessing it is to be a part of this team.

Margaret is originally from Upstate New York and relocated to Beaufort, SC in 2018. She started as a Caregiver with Home Instead in 2018 where she learned to appreciate the importance of care. This led her to her next role as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator after three short months. She worked for Home Instead for a few years before exploring a different career path. That career path was short lived as Margaret made her way back to Home Instead in January 2024 as the Office Manager. Part of her role is training, engaging, and mentoring our special Care Professionals who provide services to our clients. Margaret is passionate about seniors and loves seeing the special relationships that our clients and their Care Professionals form. She loves using her skills to lead the best team of Care Professionals for aging adults and aims to support each of them in reaching their fullest potential.

Her favorite part of her job is being an advocate for Caregivers. She loves problem solving and helping others be successful. Margaret loves the culture of Home Instead and our mission to expand the world's capacity to care.

During her free time she likes to spend time with familiy and friends. She especially enjoys watching her two boys Kayden and Mason play Basketball and Football.
