Dave And Bonnie, Owners
Dave is a U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran who earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1979.
Dave was in manufacturing supervision and management for a Fortune 250 Company and a Fortune 100 Company for nearly 30 years before Home Instead. There were many rich experiences during those years in corporate America, but Bonnie recently remarked... Now we're not just making parts.
The kudos from corporate customers about meeting quality and shipping goals were nice but pale in comparison to the sense of accomplishment felt when we realize how much of a difference our team has made to the lives of families in crisis mode.
Bonnie, co-owner with her husband David, wears many hats at Home Instead. She comes from an admin, disease management and teaching background.
Trained through the Alzheimer's Association's Train the Trainer Program and the Alzheimer's Support Group Facilitator program along with the CARE (Changing Aging through Research and Education curriculum) of Home Instead, Bonnie has grown with a passion to teach and lead others to interact with seniors, especially those with dementia, in a way to make a big difference in the quality of their life during such a challenging time.
She says, "My job is hard, but I love what we are doing in making a difference in the lives of the elderly in Durham".
