Home Instead of Vista, CA is celebrating our 21st Annual Be a Santa to a Senior program! Each year with the help of our generous community, we bring holiday joy to isolated seniors who may not otherwise receive any gifts. The program is designed to make sure seniors feel valued during the holidays. In Vista, our partners include the Salvation Army, Lil Jackson Senior Community, SPARC Inc., Vista Knoll, La Paloma Healthcare Center, Village Square San Marcos, and many more.
Here’s How it Works:
- Visit one of our participating Walmart locations or the Home Instead Vista office.
- Pick an ornament tag with a senior’s name and request a gift.
- Purchase the gift, attach the tag, and drop it off at the designated Walmart or our office.
- Our volunteers will handle wrapping and safe delivery to seniors in time for the holidays.
Most-Requested Gift Items:
- Blankets and warm clothing
- Slippers, socks, and gloves
- Bath towels and washcloths
- Toiletries like soap, shaving cream, and shampoo
- Playing cards and puzzle books
- Flashlights with batteries
