Brandelee B. - June 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Brandelee Breckenridge for June 2024!
Brandelee, “Brande” is one of the most joyful and giving Care Pros there is! She always has a smile on her face and Takes the Lead in everything she does. She jumps at the opportunity to do last-minute fill-in shifts wherever possible. Not only does Brande have a kind and generous heart, but she has become an expert in providing Personal Care services, such as Toileting & Bathing, treating people with the utmost dignity and respect. Brande also specializes in assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and other Dementias, providing care to enhance the quality of life, using her knowledge of Incontinence, redirecting and verbal cuing, as well as wonderful Companionship skills. Clients and their loved ones ask for Brande back over and over again. Brande, you are so appreciated. Thank you Brande. You truly make a difference!

Angela E. - May 2024 Care Pro of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Angela Eggett for May 2024!
Angela has been the saving grace, jumping at the opportunity to take on lots of extra last-minute shift work! Angela is an expert at providing care to those with severe, late-stage dementia who require a Care Pro with She is able to engage, soften difficult personalities, re-direct, and turn refusals into an acceptance. This is an extremely important skill set to have, especially when it comes to assisting people with ADLs, such as bathing, eating, and taking their medications. Angela knows companionship is a large part of providing excellent care and takes that very seriously. She even taught herself how to play piano, so that the next time she went to visit her client, she knew that person would immediately be put at ease once she began to play! That’s going above and beyond. Angela, we are so grateful for you.

Monica F. - March 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Monica Frandsen for March 2024!
Monica has been taking care of people all her life. It all started at about the age of 9, when she would visit her grandma up in Montana for the summers up until she was 16. Monica just loved her summers with grandma! Shortly after that, she enjoyed providing customer service at a grocery store for the next 14 years. She loved assisting people with getting their coffee and finding their favorite foods. Now that Monica is with Home Instead, she can continue that same joyful service with a smile, in providing top-notch in-home care for seniors. She has mastered the skills in assisting with activities of daily living, including safe ambulation and transfers, assisting with bathing, cooking delicious, healthy meals, and working with people who have dementia in order to give them the best quality of life possible. As a Care Professional, Monica couldn’t dream of any other job that brings more satisfaction than helping others thrive independently in their homes.

Shery J. - February 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Shery Johnson for last month - February 2024!
As a Home Instead veteran of 7 and a half years, Shery has consistently been one of the most well-respected Care Professionals of the Salt Lake City franchise who are skilled in providing compassionate Personal Care, Homemaking and Companionship. Shery’s extraordinary passion for the well-being of her clients, exemplifies the meaning of the Home Instead motto for the Care Pro, which is: Build Trust, Take the Lead, and Share your Heart. Shery’s expertise in helping people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, has helped restore the quality of life for several seniors, while at the same time, providing their family members with extra support and well needed respite. Many families Shery has helped, refer to her as literally part of their own family, which is a gift.

Kaleb A. - January 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Kaleb Aycock for January 2024!
Kaleb has proven to be an outstanding Care Pro in a short amount of time. He came to us with a background in helping troubled youth in a group home. He has always enjoyed helping people. One day, Kaleb came to his mom and said, “I’ve applied to a company called Home Instead, what do you think?” His mother, Brande, (who currently also works with our Salt Lake City branch), chuckled, and said, “Well, do you notice something about your mom?” Kaleb took a closer look and saw her standing there in her Home Instead uniform top as Brande stated, “Clearly I’m okay with it!” They get a good laugh about that often. Now, those previous skills of Kaleb’s have translated over into helping seniors and he has been learning and growing into a true Care Professional ever since. Kaleb has matured tremendously, working with the senior community. His love of sports helps him create those bonds with other sports-fans, which is especially great in providing good one-on-one male companionship with his male clients that really need it. Kaleb got training with Home Instead on how to provide a safe transfer using a gait belt and is now fully skilled in helping get taller men safely to their beds and chairs and provides safety while bathing.
